MY PERSONAL JOURNEY OF RECOVERY

My passion for rehabilitation and fitness is deeply personal, rooted in my own journey of resilience and recovery. Over the years, I have faced numerous challenges, including two knee surgeries that tested my commitment to movement and healing. The process of rebuilding strength and mobility was both humbling and transformative, giving me a profound understanding of the struggles and triumphs that come with recovery.

More recently, I confronted a herniated disc and head injury from a soccer incident—an experience that became a pivotal turning point in my life. Through targeted exercises, physical therapy, and an unwavering mindset of determination, I not only recovered but emerged stronger than before. These challenges shaped my perspective and refined my approach to helping others navigate their own recovery journeys.

It has been my honor to guide countless clients through post-surgery rehabilitation, injury recovery, and the natural aging process. Whether assisting with chronic pain, fostering independence in older adults, or helping individuals rediscover their mobility, I bring compassion, expertise, and a deep appreciation for what it takes to overcome physical limitations.

JOURNEY & EXPERTISE

My journey in the fitness industry began over three decades ago, driven by my passion for sports and a deep fascination with human physiology. During my time at the University of Maryland, where I earned a degree in Sports Medicine and Kinesiology, I worked as a student athletic trainer for collegiate sports teams. This role gave me invaluable hands-on experience, including first aid, injury response, taping, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. I assisted with major rehabilitation programs, cared for athletes on the sidelines during soccer, volleyball, wrestling, football, and field hockey games, and even witnessed surgical procedures to deepen my understanding of sports injuries.

Over the years, I honed my expertise in TRX training, becoming a recognized leader on an international level. As a featured speaker at TRX global conferences and a lead educator for the TRX corporate team, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my knowledge with fitness professionals worldwide. Beyond TRX, my expertise spans high-intensity interval training (HIIT), dumbbell strength programs, stretch and mobility techniques, as well as breathwork and meditation, creating a holistic approach to fitness and wellness.

PROFESSIONAL IMPACT

I have collaborated extensively with major fitness companies, driving membership growth and optimizing the effectiveness of their training programs. Beyond that, I’ve also been a coach, working with teens of all ages in competitive sports to help them develop not just athletic skills, but resilience, teamwork, and confidence. My approach goes beyond physical fitness—it’s about inspiring lasting lifestyle transformations and empowering individuals, teams, and organizations to reach their full potential.
